  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread by tearing it into bite-sized pieces and baking at 250 F for about one hour.
  2. Chop onion and celery finely.
  3. Sauté the onion and celery in melted butter over medium heat until soft (about 7-10 minutes).
  4. Combine toasted bread with sautéed vegetables and chopped herbs in a bowl.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then mix in whisked broth and eggs until moistened but not soggy.
  6. Grease a baking pan, pour in the stuffing mixture, cover with foil, and refrigerate overnight if desired.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350 F for about 40 minutes covered with foil, then remove foil to crisp the top for an additional 25-35 minutes.
