  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce by browning ground beef in a skillet, then adding diced onions and garlic. Stir in marinara sauce and crumbled turkey bacon; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel by melting butter, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar. Repeat layers and finish with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
