- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- ½ cup beef broth (or vegetable broth)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 teaspoon fresh thyme)
- 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing)
- Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
- Extra Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions
- Sauté the sliced onions in butter and olive oil until caramelized (20-30 minutes). Stir in garlic powder, thyme, and broth.
