  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in sugar, egg, yolk, melted butter, and vanilla. Gradually add flour and salt until combined.
  3. Knead the dough until soft and slightly sticky; add blue food coloring until evenly distributed.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 to 1½ hours until doubled.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, crushed cookies, and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly and roll tightly into a log.
  7. Cut into 12 slices and place in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30–45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
