  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions in boiling water.
  2. While the pasta cooks, slice the cremini mushrooms and chop the fresh sage.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil and add chopped sage; cook until crispy.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic along with another tablespoon of butter; sauté until golden brown.
  5. Drain the cooked tortellini and combine it in the skillet with remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
