Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 cup soft baking caramels (melted)
  • 1 medium green apple (chopped or thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup chopped gluten-free pretzels or nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Soak apple pieces in water mixed with lemon juice for 5-10 minutes to prevent browning.
  2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil until smooth using a double boiler or microwave.
  3. Pour melted chocolate onto parchment-lined sheet pan and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the chocolate, add diced apple pieces, drizzle with caramel, and finish with melted chocolate drizzle.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set; alternatively, freeze for quicker results.
  6. Break into pieces or cut into squares once hardened.
